Easter revision 2024
The Easter break is a key time to get on top of your revision for GCSE's, A Levels, IB or AP's. We have a bank of experienced, subject specific tutors here to help. Book hourly sessions or a block of sessions to use during the holiday. Sessions are online, using Teams, Zoom or Skype depending on your preference and location. Online sessions allow you the flexibility to study at any time in the comfort of your home.
Book our personally tailored week courses and an experienced tutor will work 1:1 with you. The 30 hour week starts with an assessment taken the evening before. This helps the tutor determine the level you are currently working at, identify any gaps in subject knowledge or poor exam technique. Six hour days (on the full course) finish with another assessment to show your improvement. Half week or day courses are also available.
This year, we are also offering small group courses - four students with one experienced tutor, you can sign up with your friends! Again, we are very flexible, book a whole week or just a day to cover a specific topic that is concerning you.
Subject revision
You may be struggling with specific topics within your course, or simply feel you don't understand the subject at all! One to one tutoring, or small group if you wish to study with a friend, is the opportunity to address these concerns at your own pace, in an environment where any question can be asked. Our tutors will design sessions to build on your existing knowledge, or start from scratch, whatever you require. They will also set assessments to check your understanding and give lots of feedback on your work. Intensive revision sessions can raise your grades and support you to achieve your goals.
Exam technique
Sometimes students feel they have good knowledge but still don't get the marks they are hoping for in assessments. Why not book an exam workshop with one of our tutors to identify where you may be losing marks and what you can do to pick up more. Learn to understand what a question is really asking, what the examiner really wants to see, and how to best and most efficiently communicate this to them.
Medicine or Dentistry
Thinking of studying medicine or dentistry - why not book a slot with one of our medics or dentists to discuss what the course is really like and how you can maximise your chances of success when applying.
Need a bit of help getting there? Our tutors can help with content revision in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths along with other subjects, and are ready to help you to understand how to demonstrate your knowledge in examinations. English Literature
Send us a message on the 'contact us' form, naming the texts you are studying and we can set up a session specifically focusing on these. Our English Literature expert has taught a large number of examined texts over the years. Tutoring can improve your critical analysis of texts plus the way you express yourself in answers, specifically improve the clarity and sophistication of your arguments which is essential for an A* grade.
